Must be Monday – Inktober: Writers Edition 2019 is coming!

So as most of the writers among you will probably already know that NaNoWriMo is just a month away now along with the usual prep I hope (haha) to be able to do I also decided to take part in a new writers edition of the traditional Inktober challenge to help me wake my creative side up a little. This is an official challenge, hosted by @HannahRobinsonAuthor approved by Jake Parker of the original Inktober challenge.

Now, the normal Inktober Challenge is for artists and they draw a picture each day for each prompt, for the writer’s edition we are tasked with writing a fifty-word story for each prompt. That’s right, only fifty words. This paragraph is the same length that those short stories will be.

These stories won’t just be short, they will be tiny but they must still BE a story based on each daily prompt starting tomorrow!

I’m hoping this will be a fun little exercise I can do at the end of each day in a much more relaxed and stress-free fashion than NaNoWriMo but still getting me in the mindset of writing every single day. Maybe I’ll give myself some ideas? Maybe it will go terribly wrong? WHO KNOWS? For accountability, it is my intention to post each fifty-word story to Instagram each day with (hopefully) a weekly roundup here every Monday in the new Must be Monday posts.

Will you be taking part in Inktober or NaNoWriMo? Let me know! I’d love to follow some more writers, especially if you’re taking part in Inktober: Writers Edtion via Instagram or Twitter.
