#Six for Sunday – 2018 books you’ve been excited for

I’m hiding in bed today after seeing Fall out boy last night and realising I think I’m at that age where I’m probably far too old (mentall or physically or both…) to just go to a concert and be 100% the next day. I’m going to spend it hiding under my duvet reading if I have my way (highly unlikely) but before I retreat to the gentle embrace of my four hundred pillows I would like to present today’s #Six for Sunday post! The prompt from Steph at A Little but a lot is “2018 books you’ve been excited for” which probably means books that come out in 2018 but as I’m behind on so many books I’m going to make this list of books that I’m excited to read this year, weather they are already out and have been for a while or not. These will be books I’m excited for this year.

  1. Legnedary by Stephanie Garber
I loved Caraval and Stephanie is such a lovely person I’m so excited about this book because I can’t wait to read it and find out what happens next but I’m super excited for Stephanie too, she’s just so full of energy it rubs off so I’m doubly excited!
  2. Vicous and Vengeful by V.E Schwab
I’ve had Vicous on my TBR for far too long and although I’m also excited to finally get to the Darker shade of magic books I’m especially hyped for this villanious duology.
  3. Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff
After reading Illuminae and Gemina I’ve become a big fan of Mr Kristoff and after hearing his next book described as “It’s Romeo and Juliet, meets Mad Max, meets x-men, with a littlle bit of Blade runner cheering from the sidelines” I can’t not be intrigued.
  4. Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare.
Obviously. I’ve been enjoying the Dark Artifices books and after Lord of Shadows I need this conclusion last year. I’m glad we’re getting it earlier than originally planned but I’m not sure how much longer I can wait before I start going insane.
  5. Muse of nightmares by Laini Taylor
Rather like number 4 I needed this book last year after I finished the one that came before it, sequels are painful when they haven’t been released yet! I adored Strange the Dreamer and after the way it ended I cannot explain how abosloutley desperate I am for this book.
  6. Before the Storm by Christie Golden
This is the new World of Warcraft novel by one of my absoloute favourte writers so I cannot wait for this one! This novel will be the prequel before the events of the new expansion takes place and thus will play a big part in hyping me up to get baack into World of Warcraft for the Battle of Azeroth expansion, the last three expansionn prequels be her have been amaznig and heart breaking (as usual) and I have nothing but high hopes for this one as well.

This week’s prompt was suprisingly easier than I thought and unintentionally are technically all books coming out this year, I was not expecting that. I hope you’ve enjoyed my list, let me know in the coments if you’ve done this prompt as well so I can check out your six choices as well, make sure you remember to use the hashtag #sixforsunday as well.

Just a heads up for those who aren’t aware but Camp NaNoWriMo is starting up today and I endevour to have regular posts over the coming months nothing is amiss if I miss a post day or two. Although to be fair I’m taking it quite relaxed this year for Camp and am more focused on making time to write than actually word count, I’m saving that absoloute melt down for the full NaNoWriMo comonig later on in the year. Speaking of I should probably get some writing done for the day before I retreat back under my covers…maybe I can make a blanket fort? Wish me luck and speak soon.

  1. None of these are on my list, but I love seeing everyone else’s lists! It shows me that there’s a whole world of other books out there that I’m yet to experience!

I’m interested in Legendary – Caraval didn’t thrill me as much as I wanted!

Thanks for joining in! See you next week for #SixforSunday! S x
